Suffering with this burning... Need some answers..Please!
I have been suffering from this burning in my chest, stomach and back. It all started right after I was given med's for walking pneumonia back late March. I have been to the gastro and even had an upper GI done. Dr. said all was normal and probably was caused by meds, nothing Nexium would take care of. Now I have been on the Nexium a little 6 weeks and it just seems to be getting worse. It was ok after the 1st 2 weeks, I even cancelled my follow up with the Gastro because I felt better. But now it is really bad. I was up most of the night with the burning all the way up to my throat and neck. Does anyone have any suggestions or easy relief. I go back to the Dr. on Tuesday. Wondering if he will change me to a different prescription or even double my dosage.

Antibiotics can do a number on your stomach and may very well be the culprit for the issues you are dealing with now. It sounds like your doctor is treating you for Acid Reflux. That being the case, here is some information you might find helpful.

Hope this helps. Don't get too discouraged. I know it's difficult. The Dr might have to increase your dosage of the Nexium at some point for a while.
