does protonix 40 mg everyday for over three years test positive for thc im getting conflicting information PLEASE i need a strait answer.

Hello Earl,

 

There is a warning that Protonix might cause a false positive for THC. You can read the full warning here. The recommendation is that you let your lab technician and your doctor know that you are taking this particular medication. You can also read about other drugs prescribed for GERD here.

I also am taking protonix 2X day still feel bad, but have just found out I have cancer in my esophagus. I had been on prilosec for 2 years prior to this. I also have read that testing for protonix caused stomach cancer in animals, and can depet vitamin B12- so this is upsetting, have a call in to my primary to disscuss this.
