hi iam paul , iam 35 and been told i have sever gerd , the symtoms iam getting are as follws , pains in the neck and legs also a pinrick in the back off my hands i want to know how gerd affects the body cause iam allways feelin ill , ive had a angiram and it was clear, i would be much obliged as iam waitng for key hole surgery

Hi Paul,
Online sites are great for getting information to help you manage your care. However they can not take the place of your foctor's sound medical advice. This site is wonderful in that respect. However, that advice should never be taken as a replacement for your doctor's expert care and advice.
If you have been diagnosed with GERD, you can read about GERD here in the overview and you can check your symptoms here in the symptoms database. Once you have seen your doctor, if he prescribes medication for GERD, you can read about them here in the drugs database. You can also research treatments available and alternatives here in the treatments database.
It sounds like you are having nerve inpingement problems. That is what they pinpricks on the back of your hands would be. You should see your doctor about it. If you want to read more about nerves you can click here to be taken to the chronic pain site.
