Q: does acid reflux cause air bubbles to come up in your esophogus

Thanks for your question. You may find this introduction to GERD helpful. There you will find the definition of GERD as "a condition in which acids from the stomach move backward into the esophagus." Air bubbles in the esophagus are not on this list of acid reflux symptoms.

 

If you are experiencing "air bubbles" coming into your esophagus, you should check with your doctor to find out what the cause might be.
