Q: Can acid reflux cause sore throat?

I've been kind of getting a discomfort feeling in my throat lately. It's lasted for about three days, but I've had a acid reflux problem for years.

Absolutely! Many people think of reflux simply as being the heartburn type feeling. There are many other symptoms though that can come with or without the heartburn feeling. For years I had a chronic cough/throat clearing that I didn't realize was reflux until the heartburn symptoms came on and I treated them. When the chronic cough also disappeared I realized it was due to the irritation of reflux.
