I am concerned that this has been going on for a long time. It could be many things and should be looked at by a doctor. Reflux can cause throat irritation but it's also possible that you have an infection going on, only by seeing a doctor will this be properly diagnosed.

You may want to seek a second opinion or go back to the same doctor since the symptoms have continued. It can be very hard to keep going back when you are told that there's nothing wrong, but when clearly something isn't right only by going back are you going to get it figured out.
