You need to call the doctor back as soon as possible to discuss your new symptoms. They may be related to the medication you are taking or it's possible that your symptoms aren't due to what your doctor first thought.
Doctors examine patients and make a diagnosis on a best guest of what they are seeing. They will then treat. If the treatment works then it confirms the initial diagnosis. If it doesn't then they need to look further.
Unfortunately, many patients don't like to go back to a doctor to say it's not working. They feel like it's like telling the doctor he's wrong. Maybe doctors need to be better at saying "If you don't feel better by.... then call me back, etc."
Your chest pain concerns me mostly because if this is a new symptom there is no way to know for sure if it's a side effect of the medicine, heartburn from the meds or due to something going on with your heart. Ignoring the last possibility can be fatal.
If your symptoms continue or worsen then you should consider an ER visit for the chest pain. Better safe than sorry.
