Sunday, July 06, 2008 Addie asks

Q: Severe lower back pain, nausea, vomiting, high WBC

MRI, CT Scan, Bone Scan, blood cultures, negative.  In hospital for three days due to high WBC.  On third day of hospital stay blood tests all normal.  Never have had severe pain like this kind of pain ever!  3 childbirths were a breeze compared to this.  Nothing on test results to indicate kidney stones, gallbladder, appendix, etc.  Doctors conferenced with other Dr. and everyone is baffled.

do you use asperatame or similar sweeteners? I have just read where asperatame may slowly poison your system. I am having similar problems

and was researching on-line and discovered a doctor who was baffled by

his own pain when he discovered that asparatame may be the culprit. The

sweetener is even in Citalopram(anti-depressant)listed as sorbitol. I had just

decided to go off Citalopram 3 weeks ago because I was just so tired. I

upped my Welbutrin XL and my energy has returned. But, during the past

2 yrs I have had terrible pain in my left knee. The pain finally moved on only

to land in my right ankle. An MRI revealed severe tendonitis. I wore a therapy

boot for 7 weeks. No relief. After physical therapy and wearing shoe inserts the

pain left. No later than a week, I developed plantar fasctitis in my right foot. Two cortisone shots later I thought I was finally releived from the agony. Well

I was. But only for about 2 weeks. The pain is now in my lower back. I really don't know where to turn. I am in such pain. I have also had acid reflux for a few

years. Now I just feel nauseous and achy. I started going without my Equal in my coffee today. I have been a user for some time now. Also, no more daily gum

or yogurt containing sweetener. I am giving this a try for 2 weeks to see how I feel. Please google Asparatame Poisoning to read this doctor's article. Very interesting. Good luck, I know how you feel.

Hopefully not.....  :(  But I think you should have your doctor test you for Leukemia. A bone marrow biopsy is usually the best way to go!
