Monday, October 11, 2010 stomach pain asks

Q: I have been having vertigo, sinus pressure behind my eyes (sore eyes, especially the left), stomach pain, nausea and general malaise (flu-like sypmtoms) for the past 5 weeks.

I have had an abdominal ultrasound, an upper GI, a full blood panel and a chest x-ray and they all came back normal.  I also have anxiety and depressive issues.I have low blood pressure, my c-reative protein came back normal. The doctor said he "thinks" I have non ulcer dypepsia, but I'm not sure this is correct. Anyone have any ideas of what this could be and/or if the sinus issues and the acid reflux is connected? Any help is appreciated.

It is possible for the sinuses and reflux to be related. Problem is they can be related either direction. What I mean is - if you are having issues with your sinuses it can make your reflux flare. On the other hand, if you are having issues with reflux your sinuses can become inflamed and irritated due to the reflux.
