Q: I have 3rd degree GERD along with IBS.

I am under the care of a gastro-intestinal doctor and have had the EGD and a colonoscopy, with the main findings that I have severe acid reflux. Also had a TIA this past April and neck surgery for 2 compressed, hardened discs that were abraiding my spinal cord causing swelling within the cord this past June. Now I have IBS and nothing seems to help me with this condition.

I take 2 Previcide caps in AM & 2 caps in PM. Currently using Milk of Magnesia to help with cconstipation/bloating/gas since Miralax and similar products did nothing. What else can/should I be doing?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Did your colonoscoy reveal any concerns about your bowels? Also, has your doctor looked at your other medication to see if your reflux symptoms and/or IBS is causing them?

You may want to read more about Irritable Bowel. There is a HC site specifically for IBS.
