Can a feeling of something in throat behind tongue be from acid reflux? My doctors say it is?

Topics:Something in throat

I noticed something in back of tongue when I swallow, not a bump, just something, like maybe hair caught or something.  I have had it for 2 months now, they did biopsies and it was okay.  I have also had teeth pain and ear pain at the same time.  They can't come up with a reason for this.   Could my teeth pain be coming from Acid Reflux and sometimes a very slight pain in back of throat?   they have referred me to a stomach spec for some type of scope.  I belch and burp all the time but seldom have any other reflux problems (no bedtime problems).  Please answer, really concerned about the teeth pain.

Thanks for your question. It seems like you are already on the right path to answering your question in seeing your doctors. A doctor can tell you more about your condition than any Web site could, so continue to consult with them on your health issues.

The throat is not an uncommon place for symptoms of GERD to appear. However, without knowing what and where the feelings are or being able to see them, it is impossible to say if what they are from. This is why seeing a doctor is so important.

You may want to try this symptom checker before your next visit to the doctor for some background information. I hope this helps.
