Q: Every time I get constipated I start getting this pain in my lower right side by my hip. Once I have a bowel movement the pain goes away. Should I worry?

The pain has gotten so bad a couple times that I thought it was appendicitis. I had a sonogram done but it came back clear.

Lower right side by your hip can be your appendix. Acute appendicitis is very painful and comes with a fever. It could be that that's where you feel the constipation but I definitely think it's worth going in to see someone.

The bigger issue you might want to see someone about is the constipation if it is frequent or chronic.
