Is Nexium a cure? I have painful bloating. I have gerd with sliding hiatal hernia.

My regular doctor recommended green leafy vegetables for low red blood   I did this and the results are fatigue and dizzyness.  I am having problems with current  meds.  Tried Prevacid, Prilosec, Pepcid, Zantac and my reactions are that they make me feel much worse.  I did go to a gastrenterologist and he made the diagnosis..he told me to take over the counter meds.  They are not working for me.  He will not help me further.  Am currently feeling very fatigued and pretty stupid, no energy. 

I have not tried Nexium, but I am pretty scared to try something else.  Does it cure?  The side effects I read are dreadful.  What can I do.
