My husband has all the symptoms of acid reflux but also has chest pains. Is this also a symptom?
Thank you for your question. Chest pains can be among the common symptoms of GERD. However, they can also by symptomatic of other problems. You may want to talk to your doctor, especially if the chest pains persist through the acid rflux treatment. I hope this helps.

My husband has had reflux since we met over 26 years ago. Before we were aware of the problem, there were many occasions that he thought he was having a heart attack due to the severe reflux. Yes, reflux can feel like a heart attack.
Also, I tell you all here, reflux is inharited. My husband and I have two sons, and the oldest had reflux since he was born, showing up as regurgitation and projectile vomiting that you had to have buckets to catch. I wish I would have known what it was, and not what the Docs said... I would have given him some tummy meds. My youngest also has to take meds for reflux, just not quite as bad.
