My husband has had reflux since we met over 26 years ago. Before we were aware of the problem, there were many occasions that he thought he was having a heart attack due to the severe reflux. Yes, reflux can feel like a heart attack.   Also, I tell you all here, reflux is inharited. My husband and I have two sons, and the oldest had reflux since he was born, showing up as regurgitation and projectile vomiting that you had to have buckets to catch. I wish I would have known what it was, and not what the Docs said... I would have given him some tummy meds. My youngest also has to take meds for reflux, just not quite as bad.
