Q: Abdominal pain and acid--looking for simlilar symptoms

I have had abdominal pain, flatulence and bloating, with the pain feeling like a gas spigot has been opened just below my navel. Often this happens in the middle of the night, and on one occasion was accompanied by nausea and fever-like sensation. Symptoms are readily controlled with Aciphex, but the doctors don't know why an acid blocker helps since I have no sensation of heartburn and the pain is lower in the abdomen. EGD was basically normal with just a bit of redness (erythema) in the duodenum. Has anyone had this set of symptoms and might have some helpful feedback?

I'm wondering if anyone has checked your Gallbladder?
