after having a endoscopy I am now noticing a gurgling sound coming from my throat

I am having a gurgling sound coming from my throat. the sound comes about 2 seconds after I swallow. I noticed this about 3 days after I had an endoscopy procedure a couple weeks ago. Also a feeling of a lump or fullness in my throat. This doesn't interfer with eating or drinking. I didn't have any trouble before. Has anyone experienced this and if so how long did it last before settling down? I am hoping just muscles that have been stressed.

Hi Carla,

I just had my EGD and I can't say I have had any symptoms like yours, but I would suggest you call the doctor that did the procedure and ask them if it is normal. I would wait 2 weeks then call. The office nurse will be able to tell you what to do. Let us know how you make out. Good luck. Susan

Ive had 2 endoscopies. The gurggling is from acid going up your esophagus and doesnt really have anythiing to do with the endoscopy. It can be a normal occurrance with gerd. the fullness could be from the procedure and may take a week or 2 to go complletely away. It will be ok!
