Hi beans3069,   It is good that you are seeing a doctor and having the polyps on your esophagus removed and are finding no cancer. This is a scary thing and it's good you are staying on top of it. While online sites can not take the place of your doctor, they are very good places for getting the information you need to help you manage your care and make sure you ask all the important questions of your doctor.   Dr Todd Eisner a resident expert here, discusses fundic-gland polyps in this posting. I am not sure if that is the kind of polyps you are experiencing. There is also a condition called Barrett's Esophagus that is a precancerous condition of the esophagus caused by the acid from the stomach burning the esophagus. You can read about Barrett's here.   Take care and stay in touch. Let us know how you are doing!Vicki M
