I too have acid reflux and I feel this aweful burning that starts in my upper stomach and goes up into my chest,it has also caused my heart to race and me to feel light headed,my arms hurt, but it is mainly my left arm although it is sometimes both,i burp all the time also. If you haven't already done so,you need to go see your doctor just to confirm that you are suffering from acid reflux and not something more serious. Good luck and I hope you get to feeling better soon.

I got up the other night to a lot of discomfort in my upper stomach, cold sweats, feeling of vomiting. I currently have acid reflux, but if this acid reflux, it has never been this bad. I did not have pain in either of my arms or chest. I could not burp, but wanted to. I currently have a pacemaker. I got it when I was 27. I am now 46, and just had my first pacemaker switched 2 yrs ago. I rarely use the pacemaker, but have never escaped passing out episodes once or twice a year. I have sinus node disfunction. My heart did drop during this episode and the pacer came on. I stress during these times. It seems by the symptoms, that this would be heart related, but I don't have any pain. I did however have a good bit of different types of foods before, earlier..nachoes, wings, cream of crab soup, hotdog, 2 beers, coke, onion loaf over the course of 5 hours during a ball game and after.
