Pantoprazole is the generic name for Protonix and it comes in both 20mg and 40 mg strengths.

 

Protonix is a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI). There are many different types of PPIs and many of them come in generics. You should discuss the options with you doctor and find out if one of the generic alternatives may work for you.
