Parents going crazy here. It seems every day brings new challenges and our imaginations are running wild.
Dear Daughter (3 months) seems to be using every trick in her very short book to avoid bottle feeds. Some of them are expected and therefore okay.....crying, arching back twisting etc. We have become concerned about what appears to be increasing tounge movement. She has been evaluated as having a good suck swallow ability.....however this lasts for the first 2 oz (60 mls)......then she starts avoidance...including a lot of tounge movement. We are concerned this may actually be a clue of a larger underlying problem that is more serious than reflux. Of course first time parents expect the worst. So my question is...what are normal expected avoidance behaviours in reflux babies who do not want to eat. The good news is her average per feed seems to be improving but not to an acceptable level yet but moving in the right direction
