Hi Tiga

I'm afraid it can if acid reaches up into your mouth unfortunately. I combat this with a wedge pillow and toothpaste with enamel protection. My dentist is aware of my reflux and gives my back teeth a special check over twice a year. So far so good......

Yes it can! The acid destroys the enamel on your teeth. It really depends on how bad your reflux is. Does the acid regurgitate into your mouth during the day? If so, I can gurantee you it is happening while you sleep. Do you wake up with a sore throat?

It happens while I sleep.  Some nights it's so painful I am awaken from my sleep coughing and gagging.  This is followed by a blistering, burning sensation from my throat to my stomach.

I am not a dentist but my common sense says that acid contacting your teeth for any period of time will more than likely cause problems with your teeth   Laughing

Logical enough, but I'm having problems with my gums.
