when you are on omeprazole, how quickly does it heal or at least stop one's symptom?

it is now the fourth day that i have been taking omeprazole for the heartburn, chest pain and nausa that I have. I see little improvment. I just wanted to know if my condition is severe or not? shall i see a doctor again or not? My nausa and heartburn have lessened however I have...
