Q: is it true that if you have eggy burps and constant smelly farts that you have a stomach ulcer?

Hi,i have been experiencing foul eggy burps along with alot of farts, this has been happening for a few years and im very stressed and angry about the fact that i have been to my doctor who has prescribed me medicines that only come into action for a very short period of time.i suspect and suppose i have a stomach ulcer as i have been researching about my symptoms.constant visits have been made to my doctor about this "illness",he then informed a hospital to give me a

endoscopy(camera down the throat to investigate stomach).Hopefully it will be cured,Thanks.

I am glad that you are getting an endo. By doing this they will be able to tell if an ulcer is the cause of your symptoms. It is also possible that you could be having issues with your gall bladder. Or you could be having issues with specific foods causing gastric distress. If your endo comes back negative you should seek other possible causes and consider a second opinion if your doctor is unable to help you find the help you need.
