Q: had a bowel movement look down saw blood pouring out of me like I was urinating, blood on tissue

I'm a female, 54, and just saw my GYN, who said I was not going through menopause. My tubes are tied but I still have a monthly period. All was normal at my last meeting. I now have experienced blood pouring out of me curing normal bowel movements three times. I felt faint and scared! I called my PCP, and am still waiting to find out when I can be seen. I've been constipated, but don't know if this is related to hemorrhoids or a colonoscopy.

Tina,

You need to get in as soon as you can to see the doctor. If your insurance allows, perhaps you can go to urgent care or the emergency department the next time you have one of these bleeding episodes.
