Q: what stops stom reflux that can be given ina jujunum feeding tube,patient can not have anything by mouth

not a gastric feeding,the feeding tube is in the jejunum

Hello Faye,

Still having reflux episodes on jujunum feeds? That is a concern that the doctor needs to address.The doctor may prescribe medication or another treatment.

 

Medications can be placed in the j tube. The pharmacist can compound a pill or capsule so that it is in a liquid form.
