hi. i sufferd a mci. feb 2008. was perscibed ramipril. blood thinner and statins. along with omezzmriprille. (sorry if spelt wrong.) over the year i have dropped 2 stone in weight due to feeling unwell and suffering various after effects of heartattack. dizziness. balance probs. fatigue. but was coping.

Feb of this year my gp pulled my omezziprille due to a report coming out saying it was dangerous due to the fact it stopped my blood thinner from working.

ever since then i have been experiancing weird symptoms. it started 2am one morning about two months ago. i woke up with heart going nuts. bp 149\89. pulse 100. covered in sweat. ache in left arm. i thought i was having another heartattack. i called the paramedics, who came, did an ecg, where three mci were monitored. they took me to hospital. where i was given blood thinners. oxygen and nitro spray. my bp dropped to normal for me. im always on the low side at 99/70/ and i started feeling better. although i then suffered diahorria. i was let home the next day. with them unsure what had happened.

two weeks later i suffered the same attack. same symptoms except for bp which didnt spike. kept at around 120/78 normal for most people but highish for me. felt awlful. called the emergency gp on call and he told me to take my new stomach medicine the replacement for omezziprille. ranatidin. which i did. didnt do jack ****. heartrate was high all night, suffered nausea and felt like crap. then had sudden need to go loo. my gp came out and said i had a stomach virus. so kept off food and drank water for three days. started to feel better.

then a week later had the same thing happen.felt awlful. heart didnt spike kept around 80, bp normal. but this time i had constriction in chest and ache in left arm and sudden burning where i couldnt catch my breath which lasted a couple of seconds before it died down. felt really unwell. throat felt bigger, and had hoarse voice like it took a lot to talk. had three of these attacks before had sudden bowel moment which continued till bowel was empty. urinating as well. felt awlful until loo run was over and everything settled down. but it leaves me so wiped out each time. also if i lie down during the attack cycle it makes it worse i have to sit up even to the point i sleep that way.

had another attack a week later this time i called the gp as it happened, he called me down to surgery where had ecg. told me pulse was high but regular. bp was normal. told him of my symptoms and he adcived me to tell my cardio on next vist. which is in july o9.

ive had several attacks since then. all the same. starts with the heartrate peaking, then feeling unwell. breathing problems, burning in chest. ache in left arm, which passes as soon as breathing is normal. (less then minute). pressure in chest, acid in mouth. then bowel movement starts till its empty. as soon as that happens it all calms down.

i have read the posts and effects on Acid reflux and GERD and some of my symptoms match it perfectly. the only one it doesnt is the sudden bowel movement. i was wondering if anyone has this????? and the arm pain?????  breathing???

The rest of the symptoms are like the Acid reflux. all i can say is the breathing prob is fast and over in seconds, but does feel like what i heard astama is like. i do not suffer from astama so i can't be sure.

i've now discovered a cycle to it. if i have a full bowel because i haven't been daily, usually at the three day mark. i will get this! then when bowel is empty everything stops and calms down and i start feeling better and my normal self.

i've been taking liquid gaviston which has helped the acid symptoms and during todays attack the breathing and constriction and ache in left arm were over much faster and the attack doesnt have the impact it did before. the bowel movement started within the first hour rather then the four hour mark.( i was pulled off the prescibed cimetide as i suffered monsterous headaches. i have to go back to gp to discuss next stomach medication.)

The whole cycle of an attack is usual 5 hrs before i start to feel less unwell.

Afterwards i feel very tired, washed out, headache, heavy limbed. throat seems larger.

hoarse voice. muscus in throat. lungs feel heavy. cough.
