last night I woke up and couldnt breath through my mouth, this wasnt the first time, however i was struggling to breath through my nose and thought I was dying, eventually i got enough air inside but began to gag and coughed up a mixture of spit and blood. I had a camera down my throat four months ago and was told tha I had a slight swelling on my vocal cords but not to worry, but this is really worrying me now?

Coughing up blood should always be reported to the doctor.

I'm suprised your well enough now! I'd try visiting your doctor and ask if any drug(s) are necessary.
You also might want to drink alot of water and eat less.
My 10 month old daughter has Acid Reflux!
