Q: is it possible for you to have severe pains in the chest,right side of neck , and tightening of the throat without a burning sensation and still have it classified as acid reflux?

Your symptoms are similar to those caused by acid reflux. It is important though to get checked by a doctor because too often the symptoms of heart problems are mistaken for reflux symptoms. Not being checked out and getting a diagnosis can prove deadly.
