That can definitely happen with reflux. Are you on any of the acid suppressors like omeprazole/Prilosec, protonix, etc? That should stop it ...
a chiropractor recommended licorice root to me. I take omeprazole, but have had to cut back because of side effects, or too strong, so I take it around every other day. The licorice stopped the burning. You can get DGL (deglyccyrrhinizated licorice) in a health food or natural food store. The DG part means there has been something taken out which tends to cause high blood pressure. (If you have high blood pressure you should probably check with a doctor before taking it.) I've only just started so I'm not an expert on this.
For short-term relief or when I don't have the Prilosec with me, sometimes just a throat lozenge (non-medicated, like Luden's or even a lifesaver) can give very temporary relief because it generates saliva to sooth it - but sometimes even then, the sugar can backfire, and cause more acid.
The bottom line is, if you have this burning and you haven't been checked out, or aren't on medication, you should see a doctor. If you haven't had an upper GI series, they would probably have this done, to confirm the reflux. I had this 10 years ago...
I just noticed that you mentioned you are pregnant. Heartburn (including burning in the throat) is very common in pregnancy, because your internal organs don't have as much space, and the stomach can get squeezed, pushing acid up your throat. So this may just be temporary. Your doctor may not want you to add a drug that would affect the baby (don't know if Prilosec does or not), but I'm guessing you could try Tums or some kind of antiacid. Call your OB doctor's office, explain what is happening, and ask what would be best to do. If you're lucky, this will go away after pregnancy! I didn't get it during my pregnancy (25 years ago), but only about 10 years ago, when I was reaching menopause...
