Hello Retha,   It is normal for the pain to take a little time before subsiding. The damage that caused the pain did not happen immediately, so it will take some time to heal. In the meantime you should follow your diet and doctors advice and continue taking your medication. Online sites are great places to get the information you need to ask all the right questions when it's time to see your doctor, but they can not take the place of your doctor's sound medical advice.   Hope this helps!
