I take two 40 mg Nexium capsules a day.  When is the best time to take these?  I have heard that it is best to take one is 45 minutes before breakfast and the second 45 minutes before dinner, but I have also heard that it is ok to take one before I go to bed at night and one in the morning.

Hello! It is important to take Nexium on an empty stomach before a meal. I have heard 30 minutes before a meal. It  is important to space the doses. When my children were on a PPI, I chose a time of day to help me remember: 6am/6pm, 7am/7pm.

If the medication is working on the ddse and timing you are using, keep going. If you are struggling to control your symptoms despite the dose you are on, it might be a good idea to try some different strategies.
