thanks steffanie i went to see the emergency dr today. my husband gripped at me because I wasnt having an emergency..I wasnt having a cut off leg or wasnt dead..that isan emergency to him...too little too late...well, I went cold turkey off the famotidine I was taking to combat the severe burn of this ulcer that was already lets say mean looking. I cant see it but I know...anyway ..that was yesterday i didnt take my noon pill..i take it noon and midnight..so...I got up to my husband and said...cold turkey....and that is what i did..and yep with me only taking famotidine ...rebound hit..my guts burned so bad...that I was in tears..plus I had more diahrea obviously from all the acid now bombarding my stomach...well, I didnt get any sleep and not because of the stomach...my old nocturnal panic attacks came bk...what that does is if you can sleep its very fitful and sweaty andexhausing and then if you dont sleep the same thing untilthe morning you cannot function at all...well, I was having chest tightness and pain knawing through my back as well and pressing on my spine...lethargy and exhaustion and couldnt eat or sleep or anything important..I was a statue just exhisting..my husband who has no patience...zip in that area..said look its because you think about it all the time...i had to laugh out of this poor scrawny drawn body about that...I told him i wasnt thinking about it...I was trying to figure it out and get well....then he made a big mistake...he said...is there some reason your trying to loose weight...oh man...my body was sooo beat...I said...does thislook like the 60 old womanyou knew a few days ago and why would anyone want to be sick to lose weight...jerk...anyway..he was upset because he doesnt know what to do..he calls me later as I am bedridden not knowing hot to deal with this...and he called me and asked if I really wanted to go to emergency and I thoght abt it and said yes...right now...so he camewith the car and picked me up...he wheeled me in and everyone saw how bad I looked...they immediately went to work on heart signs and my heart signs are good ...and all my other tests came bk ok....but I had this thing gnawing in my back and just under teh breast bone in front...they did an xray and figured epigastro area...they in the meantime had given me a shot demoral and avantia and two otherthings....it relaxed me so good that I didnt have a worry in teh world so I went with it and sort of slept...the dr sent me h ome with a perscription for protonix which I had to get the generic form...we shall see i dont like generic forms of everyting...I took the old protonix before and it was wonderful...but i have to try this one out and have a side affect with it before my insurance pays for the real protonix.....they shot some into me while i was there and it did soothe my stomach...but i will put off the time tomrow as i want it more near bedtime....for rest...he also gave me somenausea stuff and some pain killer stuff....but if I start to feel better next week, i will go see a gastro dr and also a heart dr and allergy specialist....everyone aggress....thanks

we shall see stefanie what happens....I was almost at deaths door...if you had seen me....you would have known that ...but I prayed then and ampraying now thanking God for  having mercy on me...as i did get blessings regarding workting with drs I see....andthe ones I saw were great....I thank God

thanks....actually I did figure all this out...had to do a lot of it myself as my normal fly dr doesnt have time...plus now  he is on vacation...I  need a different dr who  has the time...so does my mom in law...same problem...this guy was at the old folks home and then came bk into practice..he isnt bad...just no time...well, i went to emergency...I was so wiped out I thought pretty much death is the next level...so...i went in with heart palpatations and swelling below the breast bone and gouging or some wierd hard movement in my back on the spine upper to lower...wierd...they did the heart check on me and decided it was good enough except for my pulse....daa I hated coming in for a non emergency but could have been an emergency and on the weekend...well, they did all this and xrays  to rule out things then shot me up with demoral and ativan or something akin to anxiety meds...and protonix...which was soooooo goooooodddddd.....that I just laid there relaxed and felt refreshed...still woobly though...I went home with perscriptions ...one for protonix ..but was given instead the generic which is pantoprazole....which is what protonix really is...I took protonix a 100yrs ago...and it was wonderful...I had never taken anything like that but in an endoscope they found this humongus ulcer up into my esophagus and down one side of my stomach...my fly doesnt have ulcers...but i was on huge doses of naproxen for an injured back...it did a great deal of good for this injury but tore up my stomach and I didnt know it...then i was put on protonix and at that time I took the brand name...it worked great...this one seems to be doing the same....I have taken my first one today...I only worry now though...as I went cold turkey off famotidine that it isnt out of my body totally...and how long it takes to be totally gone for all the bad side affects of it to be gone....plus I take keppra....its absorbed in the gut and needs the acid to break down as well....keppra if not absorbed well causes mood swings...depression and anxiety....and then when Im ok...I have to get off and suffer thruogh rebound...acid coming bk in but at least I wont have an ulcer...I wonder how long it take to take affect...I had the regular protonix yesterday and one tablet of the generic today...it does feel a little cool in my stomach...but i do feel depressed....i hope it doesnt affect my mood....dont like that....sometimes I have problems with dyes on pills as well.....
