Q: My 13 month old does not like to eat. He is not curious about new foods and often eats only a few bites at each meal. He also dislikes sleeping which I think is b/c he's hungry. Suggestions?

Until he was 10 months, my son ate three times a night. The ped told me to try water at night so his belly was full, but no calories were given, encouraging him to eat during the day. He refused to the water. Instead I watered down the formula. That did encourage him to eat less at night, we're down to once, but he still won't eat durng the day. Now, he's off formula and on milk and I'm worried he's not going to eat the nutrition he neeeds. I'd rather be proactive than reactive. He's very smart and is "advanced" according to the ped who thinks he may not want to slow down long enough to eat. While I'm happy he's smart, I want him to be healthy.
