Hi Nancy,
There can be vomiting with GERD, particularly with a child. You can read about the symptoms of GERD here, and specifically about the common symptom of vomiting here.
If you suspect there is something else going on, it might be best for you to check with your doctor about your specific condition. Although online communities are great places to get information to ask all the right questions, they should never be used in lieu of your doctor's sound medical advice.
