Q: my pain is in the top of my chest or lower part of throat, is this acid reflux or some other problem

My pain is just below the adums apple in the hollow of my throat.  I can't tell if this is acid reflux or something else but when the pain comes on it is so sever that I can't stand the pain.  It occurs for approximately one to two minute then subsides.  This pain is just unbarrable.  What should I do?  At this time I already take two Nexium daily and still have terrible onset pain.

Thanks for the question. Acid laryngitis, which can cause the sensation of having a lumpinone's throat, is sometimes a symptom of acid reflux. Given the fact that you are taking Nexium, it seems that you are already seeing a doctor about acid reflux. You should tell him or her about these symptoms. Before you go, you may want to try this symptom checker for some ideas of what to talk to your doctor about.
