upper back pain caused by gas?

I occasionally have very sharp and painful sensations in my upper back. behind my shoulder blades and sometimes under my arms(inside my ribs) It seems to get better when I am able to pass gas or tahe Mallox. I have searched for this symptom related to any kind of digestive problem and cant find…
