Q: Prevacid used to cure laryngomalacia?

Hi my son was born with Laryngomalacia.. he was diagnosed at 3 weeks from his ENT. He was Admitted into the hospital & started tube feeding the same day of the diagnosis. He went in for surgery (Supraglottoplasty) once at 3 weeks old and then again at 5 months. His stridor was going away.. but it is now back and his ENT prescribed him back on Prevacid (a medication he hasn't taken now since we moved him away from the tube feeds to regular oral feeds at 5 1/2 months old.) I was wondering how Prevacid would help his situation since he doesn't have the acid reflex he had when he was tube feeding.. ?
