Q: The last three months I have had severe headaches and a persistant dry cough,Dr says acid reflux?

One day out of the blue I woke up with a splitting headache coupled with severe hacking dry cough. I have in my 60 years not experienced either except when I had a cold which was not frequent. Went to Dr and he asked if I had pain in my chest and I said I had not noticed that. Have had exrays on my chest, cat scan on chest as well as head. Probably over kill but I needed to know what was going on. Blood work was done as well and they could not find anything. Last month he put me on a steroid along with omeprazole and after a couple days I was feeling pretty good. After I finished both the drugs he put me on only omeprazole (one a day) symptoms came back big time. Called his nurse and was told to increase the omeprazole to twice a day, still have headaches and that awful dry cough. Was told to get back to her in two weeks if this persists.

Would sure love some answers to this as I have never in my life felt this way.

Thanks to whoever
