I just had a 48 hour holter monitor test, and was diagnosed with PVCs. I'm not usually aware of them except at night. About an hour after dinner, my upper stomach gets very bloated and feels as though someone has pour about a dozen glasses of water into my stomach. I have some gas and belching, increased PVCs, and can't stand anything tight around my waist. It feels as though the food just sits in my stomach. After about two hours, I begin to get some relief. It's the same every night, even though I keep my meals small and more frequent, and even though I try hard to avoid reflux triggers. I also have irritable bowel and redundant colon. I need answers, and my doctors don't have any. They want to put me on a beta blocker, but I've tried those before, and some of them have side effects I don't need, like heartburn, ringing ears, and increased fatigue or dizziness. I already have those and don't need more. Can anyone relate or help me think this through?

Thanks for the reply. You mention getting regular appointments for cardiac checks. My EP said nothing about my getting future checkups unless "things changed." Does that make sense to you? I think I'd like to at least get a holter monitor thing done every few years or so. Last July I had 17,000 PVCs over a 48 hour period on the monitor. Never had any PVCs before. A recent cchocardiogram showed my heart was structurally okay, and the EP said I didn't have to take a beta blocker, thank goodness. I do notice PVCs, odd heart flip-flops" that aren't too bad, and palps sometimes each day, but I try to ignore them. I really hate this. I'm 68 and seem to get more tired than I used to when I'm active. Hope I'm really okay.
