I'm really glad you got tested for heart issues. While your age seems to say it shouldn't be your heart your symptoms especially the left arm pain make the doctors think heart.

But, yes, your symptoms could also be due to reflux. Often times reflux symptoms mimic other issues such as heart problems. Has your doctor suggested reflux as a possible cause of your symptoms? If so, have they suggested any course of action? Very often when reflux is suspected the next thing will be to try reflux medicaitons. If they work, then it helps confirm your diagnosis.

I am not a doctor. You can read my bio if you click on me. I am a physical therapist and we have a lot of problems with reflux in my family.

I too am concerned that your symptoms are back if you have been taking the Nexium for two months. It might be time to get other things checked. You should go back to your doctor and let him know that things did get better with the Nexium but they are bad again. He may want to look for things such as a hiatal hernia or gall bladder issues. He may want to send you to a GI specialist.

If you are having mild issues he may just want to add an anti-acid such as Tums when things flare up. There are really a lot of scenarios your doctor may want to consider. Now that you've done your trial of Nexium, he has more information to use in making a decision.
