When my reflux and for lack of a better term gas are flaring I have a lot of back pain that radiates all over my back and into my shoulders.

I went to my doctor to make sure there was nothing going on with my heart. (which there was I found out I have a heart murmur but that wasn't the cause of the back pain). She then told me to take Tums which worked okay but not great. She then had me take simethicone (trade name Gas-X). This works great for the gas pain.
