After I gave birth to my son almost twenty years ago I started suffering from acid reflux . I taken nexium and omeprozele, I have also drank antacids such as Dica but still continue to reflux. I have recently gained weight, so I do not know if this contributed to me being sick.

Weight gain can contribute to reflux but this is different in different people. My reflux worsened as I got to a "ideal" body weight (per the BMI). Have you had success with the meds in the past? Some people can take meds short term and then be done with them. Others need to take something long term.

Another thing to consider is whether or not something else that may have contributed to the weight gain is also contributing to the reflux. For example, I am a stress eater. The stress could cause weight gain as well as reflux. Or perhaps fattier foods are being eaten which are worsening the reflux?

Have you had testing for H Pylori? That is another thing to consider. Many people with reflux are positive to H Pylori bacteria.

Because your symptoms have been prolonged and have returned your best alternative is to go back to your doctor to discuss your options.
