Q: Allergic reaction Aciphex what's another safe alternative

Recently diagnosed with esophagitis.  Prescribed nexium, gave me headaches and stomach pain, made me drowsy. Prescribed aciphex and had an allergic reaction, starts with itching, diarrhea, hives and swelling.  Can anyone tell me what a safe alterntive is? the esophagitis affects my voice. Wake with sore throats that goes away when I'm up. I've read about ACV, researched it and found that I would only cause more damage to my esphogus.

Hi,

Thank you for your question. Not knowing your other medications and other medical conditions you may have, I'm unable to recommend what other options are available for you. However, you can read more about esophagitis here, including information about treatment and prevention. I hope this helps!

Best of luck,

Casey
