is it normal with acid refflux to have always a very bad taste in the mouth

Hello!
Some children and adults with GERD tell me they have an acidic taste in their mouth, vomit in their mouth or taste the food they just ate. The goal of treatment is to at least reduce these episodes. There will be times such as after a big meal or a large drink that the lower esophageal sphincter will just not be able to hold back and backwashing will occur.
Be sure to mention this unpleasant symptom to the doctor when you check in about your reflux treatment plan.
