I have been taking Somac for about 4 years and if i stop my GERD/Esophogitis comes back. Can i take this medication if i want to have a baby?

Try Rolaids, Maalox or Tums. However, anything that contains sodium bicarbonate can cause fluid retention and should only be used under the supervision of a physician. During your third trimester, any antacid that contains magnesium should be avoided because they have been known to interfere with contractions.
