After taking a lot of Advil and Cipro for a bad sinus infection a month ago, I developed heartburn and gas and also "skipped" heartbeats.  Zantac makes both almost go away.  Anyone with a similar experience?

Hello! I hope others will join this conversation. If you look at other messages posted by members, I do see questions about this topic. When I hear questions about the heart, my first instinct is to check it out with the doctor to make sure it is not heart related.

Please-lets share our experiences about this! We can learn a lot from each other.Jan

Yes. I have been experiencing chronic acid reflux and "skipped" heartbeats for years.  (albeit with no pain or "burning", just massive gas and pressure plus I can "hear" the fluid rising in my throat when I lay down). I'm just now looking into this further as it's gotten worse since I've gained 30+ pounds again. It went away entirely when I got down below 200 pounds and only surfaced when I was extremely upset or stressed. But now it's almost all the time. I plan on losing the weight first and eating smaller meals. If that doesn't work I'll try something else plus I want to learn all I can about this before heading to the doctor for a wild and expensive goose chase of tests. Good luck to you.
