Q: i have a persistent pain in the middle of my back, diagnosed as gerd is this normal

Thanks for your question. It is not uncommon for people with back pain to be diagnosed with GERD. If the symptoms go away with GERD treatment, you'll know it for sure. I hope this helps.

I was just diagnosed with GERD after having an Endoscopy.  I had been having a horrible pain in my upper back.  I was put on Nexium and really hope it works!!
