Hello Thomas Attardi, The coughing can be caused by the acid reflux, the reason you take Nexium. Not sure why you are trying to wean off of the Nexium. It's been approved for long tern use in treating GERD. You can read more about Nexium here and about the long term use here. you can also read about the coughing here in Dr Todd Eisner's sharepost about the atypical symptom of GERD.
