Hi Jamie,

The closing could be from numerous things. You could be having an allergic reaction. Best thing to do is see your doctor. It could be that you are experiencing acid reflux and the acid is backing in to to your throat and that could also cause the constriction. The best thing is to see your doctor. Online sites are great places to get information to help you ask all the right questions of your doctor, but they can not take the place of your doctors solid medical advice.

Take care and stay in touch! Let us know how you are doing!

Thanks for your question. Acid reflux can sometimes cause symptoms in the throat, including trouble swallowing and acid laryngitis, a condition that cause a feeling of having a lumpin your throat. However, only your doctor can tell you exactly what is bothering you, so you should pay him or hera visit. For some ideas to discuss with your doctor, try using this symptom checker.

I have been having this same symptom for the past two weeks every morning and now I am thinking I may be allergic to caffeine because it happens every morning after coffee.  I am so light-headed.  Did you find a cure for yours or find out what was wrong?
